Our Premium Selection of Decaf Coffees
& A new half cafF

We have been known for our great decaf coffees. We are proud to announce we are adding two more options of great coffee. First of all our South American Decaf is now a dark roast. It's our regular decaf, but roasted for those of you who like a dark roasted coffee. Our regular decaf is now called Tanager Decaf. It's our flagship decaf you've always have enjoyed. We have changed out our Peruvian Decaf now getting it from a fair trade co-op in the Santo Domingo Region of Peru. You can read about it below. It's not only single origin, it's also from one farm and grown in the shade in a cloud forest.

Tanager Decaf

Peru Decaf

Coffee producers in Santo Domingo are serious about picking only the ripest cherries, so it can take up to five pickings to fully harvest. After each picking, the cherry is pulped immediately and the parchment is fermented for approximately 12 hours and then washed and dried. While it is drying on patios it is turned several times, which helps to achieve the region's particularly beautiful shade of green. The coffee was decaffeinated by Swiss Water using clean, pure water.

Light and Dark Roast

Soldier's Blend, a blend of light and dark roasts for a greater depth of flavor with a smooth finish on the swallow. This edgy brew has a fruity aroma and a unique taste.

This year marks the 157th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1-3, 1863 in and around the town of Gettysburg, PA. It was the battle with the most casualties in the Civil War. It is often described as the war’s turning point

In honor of this battle and the soldiers that fought there Furnace Hills Coffee Company has created a Soldiers Blend. Coffee was essential during this war. Coffee and hardtack were the two foods the soldiers could count on that wouldn’t spoil and could be easily transported in a haversack.

After careful research Furnace Hills Coffee decided on an Ethiopian coffee bean. Part of the blend is a dark roast and part a light roast. This was done to do our best to replicate the coffee roasting conditions and practices on the battle field. Coffee was roasted in a frying pan over an open camp fire resulting in an un-even roast. There is no bite at the end of the swallow, but it stays with you for a while after drinking.
